Robert: It is December 29th, 2022. Hi everyone and welcome to the Women & Money podcast and Everybody smart enough to listen. I'm Robert, Suze and KT's producer and this is the last podcast of 2022.

Robert: Every year at this time. We peel back the curtain to let you hear how fun it is to put the podcast together. Now one of my jobs as producer is to take the recording and edit it into what you hear twice a week.

Robert: And I promise you 98% of what Suze gives me is what you get to listen to. But you know how sometimes early in the morning it.. it takes a little while to get ramped up? Suze and KT are just like us. Take a listen.

KT: I'm gonna do a podcast of what we're thankful for, thankful.

KT: I'm thankful for a Roth IRA, for a backdoor, traditional Roth for a Roth IRA, for a SEP IRA, for a Roth. I'm thankful for all the variations of Roth, especially that.

Robert: Yes, actually July 14 is Bastille Day, but what I love about that clip is that it.. it sets up another trend this year and that is being refreshed. Well, actually staying hydrated.

Suze: Squishing in the mic. So everybody though, KT, if you what are you doing? She's making noise. Are you settled in now? She's gonna drink water first. All right.

Suze: Can you hear? Alright, good. I tell her don't gulp water. It makes your stomach big, but she just doesn't want to listen to me. Okay, let's go for it. Right now.

Suze: What did you all just hear KT drinking?

KT: I was just like taking a sip of water...

Suze: What the heck when KT drinks... she just doesn't go. Whatever. Listen to her closely. Listen to this. (Loud swishing sound).

Robert: Alright, so once everybody's hydrated, then come, studio adjustments, setups and uh

KT: Roll your sleeve up.

Suze: What does my sleeve have to do?

KT: So then it doesn't catch on anything.

Suze: Okay, do you like bumping into that light that's next to you, there's this light, my tv light I move.

KT: How much time do we have?

Suze: I have no idea, right um...

KT: Wait, she has me squashed in her recording studio in a corner because she likes to

KT: look at me while I'm asking the question, but I'm in a tight... we have to take a picture of me so they can see how I sit versus you and your big cozy chair with the arms on it moves up and down. It's real soft and look at me, I'm on a little stool everybody squished in a corner. All right, ready?

KT: Robert, I'm gonna make a comment that she's not gonna like, but I hope you back me up. So when you answer a question,

KT: try not to stop and go stop and go, make it smoother. What? Why are you laughing? I noticed that you tend to stop and go stop...

Suze: 'Cause I don't know what I'm gonna say.

KT: So you need to think what you're gonna say and then make it a smoother answer.

Suze: And should I tell Robert how to make you better?

KT: I'm already perfect, okay, ready?

Robert: Yeah, I'm not getting in the middle of that, but Suze said something in that last clip that I get asked about from time to time and the question is do Suze and KT work off of a script? And I can tell you that they do not, now sure for the Thursday shows, KT is reading your questions off of printed piece of paper,

Robert: but as you can hear there's no rehearsal. Suze just lets the message flow through her and that's something that I absolutely love.

Suze: And how many times have I said... not lecturing you right now, I'm going to try not to lecture today, although it is so part of my personality, isn't it? A lot of you write me on the app and you go preach Suze preach. Right, But anyway, what was I gonna say now, where was I going with that?

Suze: This is going to be one of those ones like what am I talking about? But I do have a point to this one. Alright, so guess how much you would have made if you had invested in that at the beginning of the year? Well, let me find out Robert because I don't know. Hold on.

Robert: Now, sometimes in the middle of the podcast, Suze and KT just can't help but laugh. And they have to, they have to redo a couple of takes.

KT: I'm going to pick this up from the top. So Suze, our first question is from Marianne, she said my son is having a destination wedding. I am semi retired but I work part time. So Suze, um... sorry take 17.

KT: So I try to put together a really good synopsis of combined topics and questions. Some of them are straightforward, but some of them are a little bit um generic so that hopefully I can answer four questions with one question.

Robert: I have to tell you it is the highlight of my week putting this show together and Suze and KT's laughter actually, I don't know if it's scientifically proven, but as far as I'm concerned it's a de-stressor. So I hope it helped you wind down this year. We have a lot of great things planned for next year. Thank you for listening. Suze will be back this coming Sunday to kick off 2023 but until then...
